Download PlaySpace (Ad.Fly - Supports Development)

About
PlaySpace is a Rainmeter skin designed to imitate Sony's PlaySation Menu or "XMB". Unfortunately I have no time to continue development and don't feel it's right to make empty promises. This is the only and final version. Maybe someday I'll finish it but with everything going on I can't see it happening any time soon.

Installation
(All icons are individually customizable and you may do so at your own discretion. I only ask that you do not attempt to re-submit your altered version to the public as your own creation)
In order to use PlaySpace you'll have to install Rainmeter first (see above link).
Step 1: Download and install Rainmeter.
Step 2: Download PlaySpace and launch it.
The installer takes less than a second and PlaySpace should appear on your desktop. Position it to your liking and enjoy~

actually I got it working right - just be cautious - I guess as you should always be careful with how rainmeter works with your operating system - I actually do like the add on but you have to understand it first

was a nice job - sorry for the angry posts - used to shit working right off - my bad

This is exactly what I have been looking for. I currently use objectdock to imitate the dock, but it isn't the same. This will be awesome. :) Also agree with the dreamscene comment. That is also what I currently use for my background.

DreamScene is up to the user. I myself DO find it to be beautiful, but it's not worth the CPU cut. It tends to up my CPU to 15% and that's just too detrimental for any gamer. So using DreamScene is up to the user, did you guys need me to link you to the DreamScene enabler and wallpapers or something?

No no, just saying that this goes well in adding that authentic feel of a PSP/PS3 screen. I tried this out, by the way. Looks very nice. Would love to have a larger version, maybe as an option or a separate download, though. I have a 1920x1200 res so it looks rather tiny.

That's probably going to be one of the last things I implement; another size. But yes, I will make a larger version as a separate skin.

Exactly, it is up to the user, you just have to present all the combination to get awesomeness... so you link it, even take a pic of the skin with the dreamscene, and leave it up to the end user to enable it or not...

Another free program that you might add in is the taskbar hider, in case everyone wants a clean interface. That's found here: [link]

I'd like to comment, but I have personally never played the PS3... I'm a PC'er.

I'm a PC'er myself but I grew up on consoles first, and the PSP has followed me through high school. I've always wanted a PS3 but could never afford one. In a way this project is part of that solution!

you can search DA to, either for the freeware that enables that feature in W7/XP (it was integrated in Vista), or the files that will be displayed.

I remember DreamScene on Vista. I even used it on 7 years ago. The problem with DreamScene is it eats up your CPU constantly, roughly 10%+. Very detrimental for gamers. So I most likely won't ever use it, but you're all more than welcome to, it's your PC.

Sadly the wave can be beautiful but I'd prefer the wave over my current wallpaper of choice. That's not possible so I'll forget about it.

I'll be looking into the DreamScene theme to find the best one of each color. This seems to be a valuable addition to PlaySpace!
